Common questions

How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?

From inside the game: Settings → REPORT PROBLEM or SUGGEST FEATURE. The game opens a one-time report form that already knows who you are and which battle you just played — reports filed that way can be checked against the battle's own record. Validated first reports of real bugs may earn an in-game bounty.

How do I get my progress onto a second device?

The first launch creates a silent guest account tied to that device, and a guest account cannot move. Open Settings → ACCOUNT and upgrade it to an email login or Sign in with Apple; from then on progress syncs to any device you sign in on.

I signed in with Apple and it linked to an account I already had.

That is deliberate. If Apple gives us a verified email address matching an existing email account, the two are linked rather than duplicated, so you keep the progress you already had.

My callsign was rejected.

Callsigns are letters and digits only, and they run through a blocklist plus automated moderation before they are accepted. Try another, or write to us if you think a reasonable one is being blocked.

The game asked me to update before it would let me play.

Each build has a minimum supported version. When the backend moves past it, older builds are blocked rather than left to fail in confusing ways. Updating from the App Store clears it.

I left mid-battle and lost the match.

Leaving snapshots the simulation and Resume Battle restores it. The one exception is a mission whose layout changed on the server while you were away — the saved state no longer matches the map, so it is discarded.

Does it work without a network?

Yes. Every server feature degrades to bundled defaults and the whole game is playable offline. Progress, leaderboards and new missions sync the next time you have a connection.

Deleting your account

In the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account, then confirm. This is immediate and cannot be undone.

  • Your login, callsign, email address and any Apple identity are removed.
  • If you signed in with Apple, we revoke our token with Apple as part of the deletion.
  • Your entries disappear from the leaderboards.
  • Recorded battles are kept, with every link to you severed. They are gameplay measurements — where units died, how the economy curved — and once detached from an account there is nothing personal left in them.

If you cannot get into the app, email support@raidandrescue.com from the address on the account and we will do it for you.

Getting a copy of your data

Ask, from the account's email address, and we will send what we hold. The privacy policy lists it in full.

We check the request really comes from the account first — we are not going to send your progress to whoever asks for it. If you signed in with Apple and hid your address, write to us anyway and say so: we hold Apple's forwarding address, not your real one, so we will confirm by writing to that forwarding address and continuing from your reply.

If you have never signed in — a guest account, created silently on first launch — there is no address on file and nothing that lets us tell you apart from someone claiming to be you, so we cannot answer an emailed request about a guest account. Deleting it from inside the app works without signing in, and holding the device is what proves it is yours.

Reporting a bug

The app reports its own decode failures and server errors automatically, so a rough timestamp plus your callsign is usually enough for us to find the entry. A screenshot of the About screen (Settings → Help → About), which shows the version and build, makes it faster still.
